Our client, a prominent law firm with an office in Hartford, is hiring a Legal Records Coordinator.
Responsible for organization of client files and physical condition of file rooms and case rooms, including interfiling, labeling, shelving, scanning, boxing, and shifting. Research location of files and folders; interfile loose materials; create and update file indices utilizing Excel. Update files subject to ethical walls. Act as primary office liaison and process all requests for all archiving and shredding activities with off-site vendors. Assist legal administrative assistants and office services personnel with scanning projects, file management, file transfers, and preparation for off-site storage. Maintain case rooms, and other decentralized file storage areas.
The ideal candidate will be detail oriented with excellent organizational, computer and data entry skills. The ability to prioritize and give attention to detail is imperative. Prior law firm records experience/familiarity with litigation is preferred.
