Must have a minimum of two (2) years’ residential and commercial real estate experience in a law firm setting. Familiarity with Connecticut real estate procedures (knowledge of New York is a plus). Working knowledge of legal documents, such as contracts, leases, deeds, mortgages, closing disclosures and general residential documents. Strong typing skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel). Excellent organization and prioritization skills, ability to follow directions, strong written and verbal communication skills. Meticulous attention to detail and proofreading. Must be open to taking on new responsibilities and challenging tasks
Responsibilities include document management and organization, including saving to the cloud-based network, indexing, and drafting correspondence and other legal documents. Calendaring and scheduling. Client and attorney disbursements, Organize and maintain files, Communicate with clients, attorneys, lenders and brokers, Prepare and edit lease and commercial real estate transactional documents, Prepare closing binders.
