Responsible for building product pages from existing templates, preparing files for smooth travel through PDF workflow, image editing, and maintenance of workstation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Shall maintain the quality requirements to meet the standards established by the Company. Interfaces with Advertising Manager, Graphic Arts and Engineering Departments to create new product releases and other editorial features.
QUALIFICATIONS: Skilled experience in QuarkXPress, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat and a comprehensive knowledge of Mac (OSX) computers/networks with cross-platform experience required. This position will involve time sensitive production work, drawing accurate clipping paths and retouching. Must be able to review proofs, address press/production issues and have the ability to work in Photoshop adjustment layers, drawing accurate paths and knowledge of RGB and CMYK color spaces. Must be able to determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy to be used on product templates.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Entry level; Program knowledge: Proficiency with Quark, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat. Expertise with HTML and CSS is a plus.
